1. what are your most used News apps?
I don't use News apps, I often go online to view my news.
- Mode-of-address: how a media product engages with an audience. formal/informal modes of address. Different modes of address used my News media:
1. Peer to Peer- informal and subjective, used mainly by gossip magazines as they speak as equals and in an informal manner.
This is Peer to Peer mode of address as it is very informal and talking about rumours/gossip
2. Teacher to pupil- this is instructional and content is educating the audience, used for TV and Print news which is used to educate and inform.

3.Parent to child- this is commanding and this mode of address is a device to show the power structure.
- Press agencies- organisation which gathers reports and news stories which they sell to News institutions.
- how does ideology relate to the News? the majority of people have the same beliefs or ideas, this is reinforced by the news media.
- Linguistic conventions: these are words and phrases used as part of a style of journalism. For example magazines are written in colloquial terms
- colloquial terms are used in ordinary or familiar conversations; not formal or literary.
